Orbital Display Now Advertising In Space Over Asia

What Is Space Advertising
Space advertising is the use of advertising in outer space or related to space flight. While there have only been a few examples of successful marketing campaigns, there have been several proposals to advertise in space, some even planning to launch giant billboards visible from the Earth. Giant Ads in the Night Sky
With the rise of sophisticated technologies, innovating traditional systems is inevitable. In the advertising industry, big brands now are finding ways to display enormous billboard-style advertisements in the night sky that feature their logos hovering in the sky like new constellations.
Russian project leader Vlad Sitnikov of StartRocket, the pioneer of commercial orbital display, believes that this commodification of the night sky is the next logical step in advertising industry.
“We are ruled by brands and events… the Super Bowl, Coca Cola, the Olympics, Mercedes, and FIFA,” Vlad told Futurism magazine during the interview. “The economy is the blood system of society. Entertainment and advertising are at its heart. We will live in space, and humankind will start delivering its culture to space. The more professional and experienced pioneers will make it better for everyone.”
The Orbital Display
The display or the cube-shaped satellites orbit on 400-500 km altitude (about 250 to 310 miles) and are only visible from the ground for about six minutes at a time. This delivers 3-4 messages/images a day, having a viewable area of 50 km2 using the Sun as a light source.
Ways to Use Orbital Display
Entertainment. Displaying complementary messages or images from the orbit during global events for entertaining purposes.
Messages. Bringing necessary information to the public on a broad-based perception level: from the simplest to the most complicated: such as logos and special product offers from brands.
Emergency. When phones don’t work, during zero visibility, power cuts and catastrophic emergencies, government can use the display for urgent notifications for the population.
