Make Money Online from Zero to ₱70,000 in less than One Month

When IMARK Philippines in July 2017 started to partner with Filipino manufacturers, distributors, and shipping companies, it offered ecommerce websites to entrepreneurs, a new source of income for Filipinos that make money online. A number of online sellers had their sites built and got connected to IMARK Shop, a database of products everyone could sell without worrying about shipping them to their customers. Some sellers took products from Oberlo while some had their own products sold on the sites.
Ecommerce website for jewelries and women’s accessories
One woman from Taguig, an online seller of jewelries and women’s accessories, had her shopping website built in mid-July after years of selling her products through Business Pages that were always getting unpublished by Facebook for many reasons. Her site was launched by the end of the month, and started promoting her site on Facebook and Instagram in the first week of August.
Start to make money online with the ecommerce website
Second week of August, she processed 47 orders worth ₱70,500 making her net profit amounting to ₱23,500 by weekend. Third week of August, she implemented the same strategy she did in the second week, keeping the same number of orders and net profit. Fourth week of August, same figures.
There was no change in her marketing plan for the next two months. First week of November, she opened a Twitter account, and started tweeting her products and tips on buying jewelries and women’s accessories. Second week of November with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter marketing, there was an increase of 50% in orders which means Twitter marketing is an effective tool to make money online.
Her first month income covered all expenses she had while setting up the website and social media marketing. Shipping fee is never a problem because the price she sets for every product has a markup that covers the shipping expenses. In her marketing, shipping is always free but it’s always already paid.
In the Philippines and overseas, this way of running the ecommerce business is called drop shipping.
What is drop shipping?
Drop shipping is an ecommerce model where the online seller has no physical access to the products he sells on his website. Instead, when a customer buys a product on the seller’s website, the seller purchases the product from a third-party vendor that will ship the product to the seller’s customer.
What online shopping store is highly recommended?
IMARK Philippines recommends WordPress WooCommerce because it won’t charge you on a monthly basis unlike other platforms like Shopify. With a bunch of technologies available at IMARK today, there’s always a way to reduce expenses and increase net profits.
How much is the ecommerce website?
An ecommerce website costs from ₱80,000 to ₱120,000 depending on the features you want to add to the website. But a very basic ecommerce website with simple and important major functions only costs from ₱30,000 to ₱50,000.
